Hi, hope someone can help with a somewhat irritating issue I have with the above boiler.

We have recently moved into a new property which has this bolier installed. It has been working fine up until this weekend when I heard what appeared to be water running through the radiators in the night when both the hot water and the central heating were turned off on the controller.

I have since noticed that the boiler appears to periodically fire up every 20 mins or so, which appears to draw gas for about 1 minute and then stops again, throughtout this time there is a 'c' displayed on the display which I believe shows a demand for gas, however, both hot water sand central heating are set to off on the controller unit.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this type of thing. For the moment, I have turned the boiler off (not sure if this is the right thing to do), as otherwise, it keeps on drawing on the gas supply

Thanks in advance!

Motorised valve will likely be stuck "on".

That wil keep a permanent demand on the boiler.

The issue stopped the same day I posted this, and has now started up again this weekend. I assume the motorised valves are the blue boxes labelled 'valve actuator'? If so, it appears that the random moving of the wiring to this and lightly proding the unit, appears to resolve the problem....temporarily anyway. From this, I'm guessing it's likely that one of these is getting stuck? Are they easy to replace?

If they are blue BG actuators there is a black button on the side. Press this and the head comes off the valve body. They are available as a spare and replace by wiring like for like colours. While they are off, check the valve spindles move freely.

They are indeed blue BG actuators. I have noticed a small lever on the unit. When things started playing up last, the lever appeared to be in the center position, it's done the same thing again this morning and the lever is moved over to right. Would I be correct in assuming that this lever indicates if the valve is open or closed, and that if it's in the middle or to the right it's half open or fully open?

Don't pay much attention to the lever, it is used to manually open the valve during filling the system etc. Removal of the head is done by pressing the latching button on the side of the head down near the valve body. Simply press it and pull the head straight off.(power should be off) View media item 44939
You can see the lever on this similar valve
