Problems with Intellisense Securit 800L

Hi, first post here so hoping some one will help!

I've recently purchased a house with the above alarm system installed and its been working fine for the past few months up until this week. It seems as though the alarm makes a high pitch sound everytime you pass a PIR downstairs - there are PIRs upstairs but this doesn't make the high pitch noise if you pass them.

The only thing that happened this week was that I accidently entered the wrong code when entering the house (but then correctly entered the code straight after to disarm the alarm)

There are no lights indicating that the system has been tampered with and I am able to arm and disarm the system as normal.

Any ideas or things to test before I call out an alarm firm?

Turn the chime off.
press the * key followed by the offending zone led (press to select , press again to de-select), then press the * key again.

Thanks for that , the chime has stopped going off now. Just wondering if the steps advised disable any functionality of the alarm?
