Does anybody know whether you can buy room thermostats which are accurate to 1°F.

I thought about buying one from the US but they mostly seem to work on low voltage and of course a mains one would be rated for 110v, so maybe the insulation wouldn't be adequate.

Anybody got any ideas? The one I have at the moment, a Horstman Centaur stat 7, isn't that accurate - at 19°C my wife is cold, at 20°C I'm asleep!

Has anybody used rf ones? - sounds like a good idea because you can move them around, but what are the drawbacks?

Not surprised that your wife is cold at 19°F, that's about -7°C, well below zero!

People suffer from the misconception that they need accurate temperature control. Air temperature is only one factor in how warm a place feels, and it doesn't need to be that precise. You could just as well have a display that you tweak. If people can see a comfortable temperature indicated, they will feel better anyway.

Buy your wife a vest.

Women are always complaining about the temperature, no matter what it is.
