my builder has given my a list of materials to buy for my garden office.

blocks breeze - 44m2
concrete blocks - 10m2
soft sand - 2 ton
cement - 20 bags
100mm celotex insulation - 5 boards 2.4 x 1200
5 ton crusher run (hardcore)

I will get a price from the merchants on Monday, what do you reckon it will roughly cost. I will post merchants costing up when I get it

yes of course I can but im not a builder I just didn't want to get mugged off..

I rang a mate that works at travis, he said 7 quid per m2 for medium density blocks 3.6n, 30 per ton building sand, 3.30 per bag of Lafarge blue circle cement, all exc vat obviously.

doesn't sound to bad to me?

Prices you've got so far are about what I'm paying in the frozen North. The Celotex will be a biggie- that stuff is expensive!

As a matter of curiosity, how much are you paying the builder? (I'm looking at a similar scale build over the next couple of months- like you I don't want to get mugged from ignorance :)

If you haven't already got them, get some trade accounts set up- 10% is always worth having!
