Thought I'd share my Unvented install (not sure why or if anyone's interested, but here goes)

had set up the inlet, balanced cold and hot and just setting up the flow and return with balance valve.

Found the flow feed fowled the immersion so dropped it down a couple of inches...also fitted here is the expansion vessel, balanced cold feed take off for the shower (to the right of tank in the picture) and hot feed for shower at the bottom of the picture...

probably not the most exciting pics, but want to keep some pictures of the 'during' of the build....

yes, I'll be turning the flow and hot water outlet valves round so they point in the direction of flow...i think little details like that make a bit of a difference.

here's the pipes for the his and hers sinks next to the shower, and 28 mm cold water inlet...that comes off a 32mm MDPE i replaced as one of the first jobs in the house to get rid of the lead pipe!

floor will be fully inserted when done...just easier to work with no dead teddy bears in there at the moment...

If anyone can spot anything obviously wrong, do point it out now, won't you

Not fitted yet...as you can see, the primary pipework ends at the service vavle...will cintinue to the right and be fed from the boiler which is going above to the right of the cylinder...

had a couple, but they're at the back and cant be seen

will sue some solder on the pipework under floor...just trying for now with flux, but it does seem to leak a little on the odd joint

Spent most of the day fitting the ground floor to upper floor 28mm mains pipework for the cylinder and replacing the temp mains stopcock 32mm MDPE reduced to 25mm MPDE, then 15mm copper, then push fit plastic, so from a 10?mm diameter more in the mains I now have full 28mm all the way to the cylinder, bar the last 5 ft or so where it's 22mm.

Got to say the new pipework looks a lot nicer than the old (to be fair temporary) heath robinson affair that the moleing company left me with...

it's strange though...when you've been working with 28mm copper all day, a bit of 22 seems small and a bit of 15mm looks positively tiny!

Had the same thing when I upgraded by power...spend a day working with 16mm twin and earth and 4 core armoured and to go back to the 2.5mm T&E was a shock!!
