Has anyone used one of the above, we've got a 4 bed maisonette for sale, been rented out for last 25 yrs but now due to government interference and our age we are selling up. Tried a couple of these companies but although they advertise "cash deals" most just seem to be property brokers, has anyone any experience of genuine cash buying companies.

TIA Alan

Avoid, avoid, avoid and avoid.

You will just get ripped off.

What is putting you off the conventional approach of Estate agent or self Estate agent?

They are just like webuyanycar and similar. They pay you as little as 70% of the market price, from people who are desperate or incapable of using the conventional route, and sell at 100% market value or more. Use a local estate agent, somewhere that has an office you can walk in to. Don't use one of those cheaper ones that are national and just operate via email. My mate did that and had endless trouble, they made a load of mistakes, were unresponsive and generally rubbish

Just thought "we can complete in 7 days" with cash would take the hit as long as not too much but all seem to be time wasters

Our neighbour sold with one, they re-sold it straight after for £10,000s more. But the original seller did get a hassle-free sale, they were ill and just wanted to get on with it.

They definitely exist, in some areas of the country at least. Have a good look around.

We tried that route last year, expecting something like a 20% loss on our base price, the offer went down and down until the final offer was 45% of the listed price. We couldn't afford that loss.

We tried National Home Buyers who did seem to be the most helpful. Interestingly they actually supplied the surveyors report which we weren't expecting.
Also tried J Bear whose opening offer was slightly higher but they insisted on using their own solicitors, they said for speed, but we felt that was not a good idea.
