afternoon all,

we are having a downstairs chimney breast removed soon and i want to try to stop as much dust as possible from entering the kids rooms upstairs. I will keep their doors closed but is there anything i can put over the doors / door frames to really keep the dust out.

many thanks
John.

masking tape

Absolutely!

Did something similar recently. Just get a 50mm wide roll of masking tape and seal off the door/door frame gap all the way around (bottom included). If no other access e.g. a window or external door it becomes a problem, and some dust will escape as you leave the room and re-tape.

Clean up after the dust has settled but still tape up the room until you're done.
