Protecting Cables Outside Safe Zones

Heres an idea... perhaps a little on the rough side though :LOL:

Get a long thin drillbit (10mm dia should be big enough for your cable), and drill from the outside at such an angle that you come out in the corner, then chop the cable into the wall so that its within 150mm of the corner

You'll need cable-rods as well.

I often do that Adam. Only thing is, precaution is needed to avoid a situation where say 160/170mm or so from the corner, the cable is significantly less than 50mm from the surface.
 
Yeah unfortunately the angle required to do that is too extreme in this case otherwise I would have taken the same route.
