protecting my cylinder from scale

just installing a new gledhill 210ltr stainlesslite presurised cylinder and i want to protect it from the build up of limescale. i have a waterside mc250 water softner but dont want to loose any pressure and just soften the hot side and not the central heating side any advice would be great

I dont understand what you are asking!

You dont need more than the initial fill of say 80 litres for the CH and that should not be softened water.

Surely the OP just wants to have softened water at his hot taps, not fill his heating system with the stuff?
