Hi,

I've had to extend the radial circuit to my cooker and replacement of the entire length was not feasible; therefore, have added a few more metres via a 30 amp junction box (30 amp will be sufficient for my hob, oven is connected via a 13 amp fused plug).

However, what MCB should I use? Basically, is a 32 amp MCB okay to protect a 30 amp junction box (as you can't get a 30 amp MCB or a 32 amp junction box)?

Many thanks in advance for any advice, Richard

It should be fine, so long as the connections are done up tight and neatly.
