Have inherited boiler in new house. Runs central heating brilliantly. Runs at 1 bar and just above. However, it will not give enough :? hot water for a bath. Just runs tepid. Hot water comes thru other sink taps. Even if I select Water only ( no Rads) the boiler shuts off. What should I do?

Also, runs at 58 degrees. Also, how do I top it up if the pressure is too low. What should the operating pressure be? :(

Thanks

The issue is the flow rate of hot water, not the pressure. The boiler will be able to heat about 9 litres/minute by 35 C, so if flow rate is much greater, temp rise will be much lower. Try closing bath tap down.

If flow rate is right but temp rise lacking, you might have a fault on boiler such as a failed diaphragm, but sounds like it might just be a question of adjusting flow rate.

Thanks Cuba,

Should the heat control be on FULL for water?

Are you suggesting that I trickle the water out to gain hottest result?

Cheers

Bill
