I've recently moved into a rented house which has a Protherm Combi Boiler.
When I first moved in the boiler was working but occasionally showed FO.
When it did this the landlord had told me to switch the whole thing off and restart it - this worked for a few days.
When you switched it back on it always showed -2 - not sure if that revelent or not.
Now the boiler is constantly showing FO - if I turn it on and off it just goes -2, 38, FO.
But we have no heating or hot water at the minute.
A plumber came out and he didn't really know what was wrong and said he needed to phone the company to find out the fault. But he thought it was the circuit board that needed changing.
He now says he is coming back to check the water pressure switch as he didn't check that and thinks that might be the fault. However the pressure control seems to be showing there is pressure and that it is working ok.
This has been going on since last Thursday and I live on my own with a 20 month old son and just want the heating and hot water sorted asap.
I'm not sure if this is relevent but the electrics keep tripping too, and the other night when this happened I put them back on and the boiler started up and kept going throughout the night only to go back to showing FO midmorning the next day.
Anyone any ideas?? As we have no manuel.
