Went to see a neighbour's CH problem.

Went and touched the PRV, now it wont stop dripping.

Help.

Keep playing with it, get some water through it and maybe you will shift whatever is making it leak.

Otherwise, it's a new prv time.

Although, why you touched it in the first place worrys me.

Went back after lunch, to find it had completely drained.
Repressurised to 1.5bar and held.

The guy went away for a few weeks. Had turned the gas and water off.
After bleeding the gas supply for the 3rd time, got hot water.
Still not got CH, even after bleeding the CH pump.

Hopefully the PRV is now fine.

Blimey dan I think we should leave this one alone I not sure if e serious wants us to believe bleeding gas 3 times lol! Maybe the hob guy was just being a bit sarcastic ?

Okay, to clear up a few points:

I didn't bleed the gas supply.

The guy who has the problem with the boiler had turned the gas and water off when he went away for a month.
He then turned the gas and water back on.
Found that he didn't have hot water or CH.
Got a man in to fix it.
The man then took 3 visits to bleed the gas supply and the CH pump.
After the 3 visits, the boiler would only produce hot water.

I was asked in the mean time a couple of questions, as I have the same boiler. I was right in that the gas supply needed bleeding again. (I didn't touch it). I also said that a known suspect part was the solenoid. (I didn't touch it).
