pulling up old tiles

If they are ceramic/porcelain then a hammer and chisel,don't expect to get them up without damaging the floor though as I'm sure you will no matter how careful you are.If you are looking to retile then you will need to board over or replace the boards anyway.
HI guys can anyone tell me the best way to pull up old tiles of a woodbase i think they have been there a few years,iam just a bit worried about damaging the floor
