We have a loft shower, sink and toilet served by a pump on the floor below which was fitted 7yrs ago approximately. All fine for years but has probably started to be a problem over the last 2 years or so. The problem is that the pump sometimes doesn’t work when you turn on the shower, sink or use the toilet so no water. Sometimes it starts after a couple of seconds or a couple of minutes sometimes hours and is becoming more of a problem. Does it sound like a pump problem that could be sorted with a service?
My husband has let all the air out of the pump but this doesn’t have any effect, just starts to work when it feels like it. When it does work it’s fine.

If it's a negative head pump it might be worth getting the pressure vessel checked along with the flow switches

Why do people insist on asking for help and not say please or thank you?

Maybe it's me that's wrong?
