Putting a third gang to a 2 gang lightswitch

I have a two gang (both one way) lightswitch in my lounge/diner, one for each end of my room. I am fitting a new fireplace and want to put a couple of feature lights above it so am thinking a third gang to switch these on/off independently of the others.

Not being a pro but being semi able I am happy trying to do this but just cant get my head around how!

The extra lights can be wired into the existing lighting ring so thats not a problem but just dont know how to wire it to the switch?

Dont know if it makes any difference but want to go dimmable.

Once you've got the powwer going to the new wall lights, you then need to interrupt the live wire, and run a cable back to the switch position. Assuming each of the two existing light switches are wired using twin and earth you've no option but to lay in a new switch drop to service the new lights (if someone did the switching with three core and earth and left a spare wire for you there would be a way, but that'd be unusual). New switch drop = chasing out wall plaster and either lifting floorboards or chopping open ceilings.

Thanks, I am now thinking then - drop a t&e down to the new gang of the switch and wire this cable into the same junction box I am using to feed the supply to the lights thus interrupting the live. The cable at the switch will be brown to comm and blue to L1?

Yes, brown to comm and blue to L1 at the switch, but the other end at the junction box matters as well ....
