Hi,
I accidently put central heating cleaning fluid in the wrong hole of the plate heat exchanger. Instead of putting it in the heating system side i put it in the other sides.
I then put it under hot water to clean out the liquid. Would you say it is safe to put back in the boiler. As the water will obviously then come to taps.
Or is it better to get a new heat exchanger.

Presumably you are going to repeat the process with the chemicals in the right hole before you stick it back in?

Which chemical did you use, and what problem are you trying to solve?
And don't say: unblocking the hex.

yeah i have put it in the right hole. But i was thinking even though i have flushed it out several times.
I get the feeling there might be some liquid stuck in the crevices of the hex. Because when i leave some water in it for a while like 1 day it comes out a light brownish colour.

I've had the same problem late the other night, lack of concentration on the job in hand, stuck it in the wrong hole, it came out all brown!!!!!!!
