Has anyone tried putting laminate flooring onto open back stairs (i.e., no 'riser'). The local flooring company refused to price to fit this as they said that they thought it would be a safety hazard (too slippy). Pergo do have strip that fit over the edge (nose) of the stair tread so presumably it can be done. If the upstairs and downstairs hall had laminate then it might be too much. Also cutting the panels to size for the tread would probably take a long time. Just wondered if anyone else had tried this recently and what the pitfalls were ?
