Hi all a bit of an odd one.

The woman moans about the lights being to bright, so was going to install a dimmer switch.

We have 3 switches in the lounge, all 2 way, two wall, and one overhead.
However ultimate dont seem to do a 3 gang switch for a single back box.

I was thinking i could put the two wall lights intogether at the boxes so they both come on at the same time.

Is there any problem with doing this?, my only concern would be i could take out one of the live feeds away from the switch and it would still work.

does this sound reasonable?

Thanks

Yes that sounds reasonable.

Just need to ensure the dimmer switch is compatable with your lights

thanks very much,
i guess i just need to say good bye to the horrible orange energy saving bulbs!

Nah,
its the mrs, she likes the dull tone of old energy saving bulbs.

She just doesnt like the crisp white of the overhead fancy halogen thingy from the big shed.

I just hope with a little bit dimmer light over head i can read whilst she knits.

Its rock and roll round our place!

About 7 years ago, when I was fitting a dimmer switch, you couldn't use just any old energy saving lamp, it had to be a special one that went down in steps.

I have no idea if that's still the case.
