PVA or mist coat on plasterboard skim

Hi :),

The search function didn't really help, so can the pro's please let me know if I should pva or mist coat a brand new plasterboarded and skimmed ceiling and stud wall before painting properly ?? The reason I ask is I don't want any flaking paint in a year or two's time.

The correct answer is mist coat. Never PVA before painting, as it stops the paint from adhering properly. PVA would be used to sonsolidate a surface before plastering
