Hi folks,

Intending to replace fascias, soffits and guttters with uPVC and I'm looking for advice on PVC products. Going for a plain white finish but I'm concerned as some houses that have been done for a while the PVC looks to have discoloured

Specifically would like to know.....

Is there a big difference in the quality between different brands?
What brands would you recommend or advise to stay clear of?
Does the old adage "you get what you pay for" hold true?

Thanks

Hi,most of the major brands are all pretty much the same regarding quality.
Swish or kestral are a safe bet.Regarding cleaning, if you have an over Fascia vent fitted rather than having vented soffit it will be far easier to clean
as the vented soffit does get dirty over time.I would go for a local company who specialize in Roofline, avoid Everest etc. who will charge the earth,or maybe your planning on doing it yourself.

What? Kestrel is terrible for going off colour despite their promises of a ten year colourfast guarantee. Hence why it's so cheap.

Choose a quality Swish board, there are many sub-brands of Swish. Swish Concorde (the budget brand) being the worst.

Good quality go for Freefoam which now carries a 20 year guarantee or Deeplas which is only a 10 year guarantee but the quality is amazing.
