PXE problem

I have an Acer TravelMate 250 laptop which when starting up I get the following messages:-

PXE-E61 Media Test failure. Check Cable

PXE-MOF Exiting Rom

Anyone have any ideas of cause of this problem and posible cure?

I believe its trying to network boot before booting from the harddisk, if memory serves. Go into the bios and look for anything related to network booting, probably it'll be in the list of boot devices somewhere.

It is, either change boot sequence as mentioned or simply ignore it.
The above is assuming that the laptop boots normally afterwards ! If it doesnt, I suspect that the hard disk isnt being detected/boot files missing and the option "try other boot devices" is enabled in bios
