Pyronix Enforcer - sensor for chime only

Hi,
I've installed an outdoor magnet sensor to a hand gate on a V11 Enforcer system.
The sensor is purely for the chime to alert when someone comes through the gate (postman etc). The sensor doesn't want to arm, and set off the alarm when the system is set.
I can't see how to prevent it from arming - I have to assign it to at least one alarm zone. Is there a way to remove this sensor from the system as far as triggering the alarm goes, whilst retaining the chime feature when the gate opens?

Set contact to an unused area eg D only. Assign chime function to that zone attribute. Do not set area D.

Thanks Handymanjo, that's how I'd gone about it. Wasn't sure if there was more of a "proper" way to set it, but the above method will do just fine
