I installed a Pyronix Enforcer V10 at home 3 months ago and it's been perfect, until yesterday. I had a communication fault with a particular PIR and when investigating I noticed it had a flashing green and red LED.
I did a diagnostic test from the panel and it reported that the battery needed an immediate replacement and wireless communication had been lost.
I purchased a Duracell CR123A battery and replaced the old battery but the green and red LEDs stayed illuminated. Another diagnostic check reported the battery again needed replacing and no wireless communication.
I then deleted the PIR from the panel and relearned it but that made no difference. Still flashing red and green LED's and no wireless communication.
Does this sound like a faulty PIR or am I missing something obvious?

Move the pir next to the panel ....if it still does it sounds like a faulty unit

Sorry, should have mentioned I had already tried that.
I'll contact the wholesaler. Thanks.

3 months for a battery usually indicates a faulty device, especially if others have been okay.

It’s not the battery, more a case of the battery showing it needed replacing due to lack of communication. The wholesaler has accepted its faulty and it’s currently in the post back to them. Thanks.

even on busy areas batteries should last much longer indicating a fault, the condition of the battery may or may not be deepened originally.

seen wireless devices eat batteries and seen wireless devices after first failure not report the true condition back, both faulty for different reasons and usually less than 6 months life when expecting 2 years.
