I wanted to add a chime when our front gate is opened. Just had a look at one of these but doesn't look like it's outdoor use?

Anyone used one of these externally? Im wondering if i can just ip56 it myself.

Get the standard door sensor ( not the mini ) same price ...put in a plastic ip rated box and fit a roller shutter contact to the gate
