If the car was mine Mav, I'd leave it be......so long as it is taxed, a little overdue MOT wouldn't cause me any sleepless nights.
Mind you, there's nothing to stop you popping into the test station, and casually asking the tester if there was an issue with the doors before checking it in.

Spot on. Think I might pop in to a Farmers or Kw1k fit and see, at least they cant do bodywork so cant start trying to get me to allow them to sort it. Although I am sure if I drop it in there I will be needing new bulbs, windscreen wipers and anything else they can come up with!
