Hi Guys
Some info reqd from exp electricians if available...
Am currentl on 2330 L2 Yr1 nightclass. My plan was to do this for the 2 yr duration & whilst my job keeps me in work over wends, aim for 2-3 days experience with an electrical company in week. Past this I was looking at L3 2391 & NVQ on job assessment for JIB approved route...
However, I've had a chat with a provider of NICEIC Domestic Installer course which they run over 5 weeks. They provide training & qualies for 16th/soon 17th I know Regs & 2377 PAT Testing.
I think I could do this & then gain experience with a company before going on to do the 2391 & NVQ L3...
What would be the consensus from employers? 2330 for 2 years or do the NICEIC. I'm not looking at shortcuts but it does seem to offer similar principles as 2330 & wonder if L2 a necessity??
College gets me 3hrs per week practical whereas NICEIC could give me along with their theory around 40hrs...
I could do with some info & intend to call JIB/Napit & doorstep some local electrical contractors for info.
Cheers
Andy
