No, they are not our installation, they are supplied to us by the window manufacturer. Let me have a look see what I got. No painting, and double or triple glazed

They are not stuck directly to the glass, generally clipped round edge of unit

Here is a pic of the inside of my windows. The outermost section is architrave (as pointed to by my finger in pic 2) then there is the frame and then casement.

Is it possible to have UPVC windows but retain the wooden architrave?

How closely could the design of the frame/casement be replicated in UPVC?
