Hiya,
I'm currently buying a house in Brockley and am looking to knock down a couple of walls to create and open-plan kitchen diner.
As one of the walls is weight-bearing, a supporting beam will need to be put up - for which I need plans sketched out and beam calculations done and sent to the buildings regulation office in Lewisham in order to get the process approved.
I've been gathering quotes from quantity surveyor offices to do some drawings and beam calculations and the initial quotes are coming in at 700 quid, which I think sounds very high given the simplicity of the task.
I was wondering if anyone could share some contacts of good surveyors that could do this at a more reasonable price?
Thanks in advance for taking time to read and for your help if you've answered!
Much appreciated
