query on electritian's handy work

Can someone please clarify something for me.
We just had a conservatory built and today the electritian came and added two double sockets.
He wired the cable to a socket in the lounge (ring main) and this cable went to one double socket, then from the new double socket , he added another double socket.
I didnt think a spur should come from a spur?????

you are correct you can not take a spur from a spur

If you have any doubt see this

(it does say you can have two single sockets from the same socket on a ring but no more than two or one double socket)

have you buy any chance got a hitching post outside?
