Good evening,
I've just got a question about drainage holes on some windows. I've been trying to find information about it online but haven't found anything so thought I'd try you intelligent folks here.
I've noticed that the screw on the hinge mechanism on some windows is rusting, so is clearly not stainless steel. On these windows, there are no drainage holes. But I'm wondering if the rusting is a symptom of the water not draining properly out of the windows.
Most of the windows with visible drainage holes don't seem to be having any issues, whilst there's only one without a drainage hole which has no rust issues.
Could it be that the hinge mechanism has been fixed over the drainage hole and is blocking drainage?
I've read that drilling a new weep hole could void the warranty but I don't know if installing a new hinge mechanism would be possible.
Am not an expert, so would appreciate your views.
