Hi,
I'm new to the forum and after a bit of advice if anyone can help( be gentle)
Right here goes... I have ordered up a load of laminated flooring to do my hallway and kitchen with. I also ordered up a load of "timbermate silentfloor gold underlay" to go with it. I was speaking to a guy I work with who is a bit of a diy expert and he said that I shouldn't be using this stuff in my house as it has a damp proof membrane on the underside, because my hallway and 80% of my kitchen in on wooden floor boards with a void underneath and only a small portion of the kitchen is concrete floor. He recons that its bad for the wooden joists and floor because it will make them sweat. This has started to worry me now and obviously don't want to get this stuff fitted if its going to cause more harm than good
