A defibrillator delivers electrical energy at 360j

Is there a formula that will convert Joules DC to watts volts amps?

I've not been able to find one yet just wondered if any of you pro's knew

Joule is a unit of energy

Watt is a unit of Power

The two are related by Power = Energy per unit time (second)

C.F the amount of electrical energy you consume is measured in Kilo Watt Hours.

So for the 360 J defibrillator the voltage/current and hence power will be time dependent

so if it is used for 1 second then 360 watts of power will be used
 
1 joule is 1 watt per second.

As for amps/volts - can't be obtained without already knowing one of them (and the time over which the energy is released).

Discharge of energy is over 2mSec the discharge graph shows a + deflection of 2500v and a - deflection of 2500v (Biphasic cycle discharge )

Just trying to ask a question from a knowledgeable body of experts
 
OK - I just wondered if you were, and if a DIY defribrillator made out of sawn up breadboards and powered by free electricity from water was your next project...

Why woudl I want to cut breadboard??


I teach people how to use defibs and am just trying to give them a frame of reference in terms of the energy delivered that they can understand
