Why can't you have a PIR pointing at a door contact? I have big window in my small hall way near my f/door.So can I put a door contact and a PIR in the same area to protect both? Also the auto message you do, how long have you got to record it? Is it as simlpeles to fit as it says on the box?

Why can't you have a PIR pointing at a door contact?
Because when the door opens both door sensor and PIR will transmit. Their transmissions are likely to collide and the receiver ( panel or siren ) will get a mixed up mess of two messages. If this happens then the receiver will not be able to understand either of the two messages.
