Quick cooker question (hopefully)

Can I pick your brains.
My mates kitchen has a cooker switch feeding a double socket with prob 4-6mm t&e. Can I alter this by swapping the socket for a cooker connection unit for the hob (no plug fitted) and run another feed to the socket to feed the oven (plug fitted)

If I read correctly then there is no need for 'another' feed.

Replace the double socket with a CCU and connect a socket to it.
Replace the double back box or pattress with a dual one.
