Quick question about hive receiver wiring using existing 2 wire connection

Hi all

I am looking to wire a hive receiver for a boiler. The existing thermostat has a 2 wire connection which is basically a switched 230V live connection that comes from the incoming supply to the boiler, through a fused isolator and then to the thermostat switch and then to a run connection at the boiler PCB.
I believe the hive needs a permanent live connection so my thinking is to replace with a 3 core cable and basically run a core from from the incoming supply to the receiver L and N (L through the FCU), add a link core in the receiver between live and common and then use the 3rd core to wire between the NO connection at the receiver and Run at the boiler.

Does this sound right? Mainly in terms of adding the link in the receiver between live and common

Nope your best bet is to use a nest E , it is battery powered and doesnt need a L&N just put the existing wires into the NO&COM ports doesnt matter which way round
