I have an unusual problem, where in my bathroom I have spot lights,
When one of the bulbs blow it takes the fuse with it.
I know this beacause when I fix the fuse there is one blown bulb, dosnt matter which bulb blows it takes the fuse as well, any ideas would be much appreciated.

Two questions;

What type of bulbs are they? Some types, owing to their physical construction are prone to failing more violently than others.

Are you using branded ones or cheapies? More expensive, branded versions tend to include safety measures to limit or prevent violent failure.

Thanks for quick reply, on the bulb reads, asda G6T 240V 50W.

Yup, that's pretty much the answer we were expecting. GU10 lamps are quite prone to doing that at the best of times, cheap ones especially so. Changing to a leading brand such as Osram, Philips, GE, Sylvania, etc. may well improve matters...

Or even better, replace them with LEDs, and you'll not need to relamp for the next 20 odd years... :)

Thanks electric men, was quite puzzled by this and seems like an easy fix to get quality bulbs or LEDs.
