"Mick and his brother David wrote a song called “Blame it on the Boogie” with their drummer Elmar Krohn, which (after being rejected by 22 record labels) clinched the deal for Mick’s first album release as a recording artist, produced by Grammy Award winning arranger/producer Sylvester Levay."

I'm assuming that's right, so

Next question:
A woman claims she is a daughter of a wealthy couple.
Hair clippings from all three are sent to the DNA lab for comparison.
There's a match with the putative father.
What does that prove?

It's not an obvious answer so don't assume you're right unless you're very sure!

It is correct but are you googling ?

Sounds like, when you were at school, DNA extraction from hair samples without roots had not been invented.

Common knowledge for decades...

"DNA extraction from hair samples without roots" google that - you'd have it .

OK the DNA you get from hair shafts (MtDNA) only comes from your mother. Simple enough

Therefore......???????

Are you a School Teacher?

Well if you really can't work it out ;) he can't be her father. They must have a common female ancestor, so she could be his sister, mother, neice etc.
Also she can't be related to the prospective mother cos there would be a MtDNA match.

The MtDNA in the sperm is in the bit which is the motor for the tail. It drops off so never enters the egg...

SUppose you need another question, at the right level?

WHat's the capital of Paris?
