Rad Tails

Hi

What is the best thing to do to seal the threaded rad tail that goes into the rad.

I putting some TRV4 on tomorrow and would like to make sure I get a nice seal?

Also how tight do you tighten them, can the bottom of the rad crack if to tight?

just use ptfe, about 8 turns will do

you won't crack a standard rad they are steel.
just tighten till the end of the thread is in the rad.

you'll know by the feel of it tightening if you have enough ptfe on or not
and make sure you wind the ptfe on the right way keeping it fairly tight.
