I've taken a radiator of and wont be replacing it for 3 weeks as there has been a delay but still want my heating on can I connect a piece of copper pipe between both Rad valves until new Rad turns up temporarily

As long as the rad valves are holding, you should be able to run heating with just the valves shut.

If they are suspect, and you want to, then yes put a piece of pipe in between.

Or fit cap ends on the valves, not sure if it's the same as the washing machine tap blanks but you may need a fibre washer
