I am rebuilding a 1956 MGA and have put in a rebuilt MGB 1800 bored to 1900 into it.
Can anyone tell me if the radiator that came with the 1500MGA would be adequate, or will I have to put in a MGB 1800 radiator in?

Thanks

It depends really how you intend to drive it, if you are going to thrash it yes, you will need the bigger radiator but with gentle driving I would think the smaller one would be OK if its in good condition.

As above - the hike in engine capacity can play a large part in radiator size, as does the flow of cooling air into it.....I'd also be considering a thermostatic electrical cooling fan too.
John :)

Looking on line it seems that the MGA rad is pretty well the same as the early MGB rad apart from the mounts.
There's some comparison here

A lot of cars from that era were a bit overcooled in normal UK conditions. Don't know specifically about MGAs though. I'd certainly fit an electric fan as suggested.
Nice car. Always fancied one, never had one.
