Hi Guys,

Have searched this for advice having been asked to install one, the whole topic seems a little confusing to say the least so spoke to Building control today to clarify....

This is what they told me.

'if its primarilly class with glass roof etc, this is exempt from Part L and BC, but suggest that the only thing required would be isolation/service valves on the flow and return within the main walls of the house'

Basically they said that prior to the pipes going through the wall into the conservatory stick a isolation valve on and you are covered!

Still not convinced that having one is a glass room is of any value though! Mine never seems to heat the damn thing anyway

The prob with radiators in a Conservatory is that the heat simply rises and escapes through that thin roof, take the time to do a load calculation on that room and you will be shocked just how much heat that conservatory needs to be comfortable.. Would be best to have somthing that blows the warm air around like a fan coil thingy, like a big kick space heater..Or fit a heat pump but then I would say that..
