Hi All,

I am wanting to replace some old radiators that are the same size.

I have noticed that the insert in the radiator has a larger connector than the new one. So to replace the radiator I would have to drain the system (or bung or freeze the pipe) and replace the valve.

Is it possible to buy an insert that would allow me to connect a modern radiator to the old valve.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Are you talking about a 3/4" union nut that goes onto the valve? If so you may find that the old tail that connects into the radiator will fit the new one.

Hi Armo,

Thank you for the reply.
If not, can I purchase a new tail with a 3/4" union nut?
