I have a radiator which does does not get as warm as other radiators (there is no air in the radiator). I have opened lockshield valve slightly more and also tried removing the thermostatic valve but it is still only slightly warm. I have noticed the area around the lockshield valve is getting very warm; is there something wrong with the radiator or lockshield valve?

You could try turning all the other radiators off for a few minutes.

Open up the lockshield fully, and see if there's a blockage in it. Then turn off all the rads to check that this rad does get hot, and if it does, then balance the system.
