A number of years ago I was talking to the sales manager of quite a large painting manufacturer and I asked him what the difference was between normal white gloss paint and radiator paint.

He told me the difference was that "they had different labels on the tin"???.And he wasn't joking|

This surely can't be true now (or can it).

Advice would be appreciated :?: :?: :?:

Cheers

Sorry Guys
I didn't notice that there was already a post on this subject.
Cheers again
Tony :( :(

Radiator paint you see now is enamel which has a much harder finish but is not oil based, its more like a cellulose type finish. ive had customers who have used it and actually passed out through the fumes. They are terrible to use, dry too quick to get on the radiator, yes they can withstand higher temperatures but normal gloss paint is fine for radiators.

Hi and thanks Robbie.
You got right to the point.

It seems the man I spoke to was quite correct after all.

I'll use ordinary gloss as you advised.

Cheers and thanks again,

Tony
