Hi all

Always used ptfe on the tails but wondering is there anything better these days. I’ve seen screwfix sell a pipe thread sealant from flomasta, looks like thread locker

Thanks

Horses for courses, I used gas PTFE because I use it all the time for lots of different applications. Some use cord/thread, some use normal tape. Whatever someone is used to usually and whatever works for them.

I am with @Madrab on this , I have always used PTFE, there are others on the market, but I find with modern radiators from places such as screwfix and toolstation among others, the female thread on the rads seems slightly larger and require a lot more wraps than they used to, personally I wrap and tighten then remove the tail and wrap again , extra time but I know it will hold , I like liquid PTFE but not for rads
