Hi Guys
I am baffled by a leak in one of my radiator valves.
The radiator in the loft was on all winter - both valves opened, but it had air in there, so was not operating efficiently (I would say320-0%).
I bled it last week-end and recharged the combi boiler - something new to me, but am now confident in doing...
I tested it afterwards, and it worked brilliantly, ie very hot.
I then shut the radiator down by closing the valve - leading to leakage which I was not aware until yesterday when we noticed a patch of damp on the ceiling.
I checked it yesterday evening and indeed, the water seems to be dripping from the top where the adjustment to the flow out of the radiator is made.
No need to tell you the boiler pressure went dwon from 1.5 to 1.
I have opened the valve fully now to make the radiator work, and funnily enough. the valve seems fine now ie no leakage - with radiator working although there is still some air.
I can't understand it - Is this wear and tear? Do you think I should change it?
Thanks for your opinions.
