Hi guys, first post, I'm hoping someone can help.
I have Drayton thermostatic valves fitted to my rads. Last year I had one stuck closed. I tapped it loads with a hammer and it now works perfectly. This year a different one is stuck open, it's in my kids room and its far too hot. I tried tapping the little valve for ages with no luck, my dad had a look and removed the little brass valve around the pin. No water escaped which he said was odd, he then tried moving the pin with pliers.....and pulled it clean out! Still no water leaked out, is there anyway of fixing this or is the valve
beyond that now. My central heating is on micro piping, would it be easy to replace? Many thanks

Turn off the other end of the rad for a quick fix.

It also sounds like you need a new TRV.
