radiators cold at the bottom and hot at the top.

our radiators are cold at the bottom and hot at the top. some water has been bled from system as we thought that it was an air block; the water was crystal clear, any clues? :?
 
try a magnet ;)

I agree with breezer

clear running water is no indication that sludge/magnetit isnt present
