Radiators turning on with hot water then not turning off

Been getting some weird problems lately with the heating.
(Vaillant Ecotec plus 624)

- Hot water is scheduled to come on 1 hour before radiators, however, all radiators get hot as soon as hot water comes on.
-Also when heating is scheduled to go off the relevant light turns off dead on time but the radiators keep going red hot.
-To turn them off I have to go and manually start and stop the heating a few times from the wall control panel and finally it seems to get the message

Anyone got any ideas what's going on???

Sorry Ian if that sounds like a dumb question but I have no knowledge of heating systems. I will have to call out a professional but was hoping to get some idea if this is a common problem or not

A Y-plan has a single 3-Port motorised valve, something like this:

An S-Plan has two (or more) 2-Port motorised valves, something like this:

ecoTEC Plus also comes in combi form, but as you have hot water on timed control, I assume that you have stored hot water (Hot water cylinder) and not a combi boiler.

Try simple first, stems second picture shows a lever on the valve, this is to bleed system, just check if some one has not latched it on.
